After the initial learning period of how to navigate this curriculum, I have found it to be very effective and am overall very pleased with it.
It is going well! I notice a huge improvement!
We are doing great. My child learns through example so we usually just jump right in and figure it out from there and she masters it by the end of the lesson!
This is very new and different for me to be teaching. But like I said she is getting it.
I think the word problems are worded excellently, they offer a good challenge to determine whether to add or subtract.
I can see how much work they put into creating this method and curriculum. The books are well made, colorful, and helpful for children struggling with 1st grade math concepts.
My son is learning and doing great
We love it. It’s slightly slower for him but that’s ok.
Teacher comment: The emphasis on models and pictures used to support the problems is very helpful!
Kindergarten Parent: “From my experience with the first three units I do not prefer this program. I had a positive experience with Sadlier Math at the kindergarten level for my other children and can’t help but compare the two. Perhaps there was something missing from Sadlier though that I’m unaware of.”
First Grade Parent: I can’t love a program that makes MORE hand holding for the parents, more work for the parents and less work on rote math facts and independent time to work for the kids...I feel math should be math. Math should be facts, and teaching them the facts.

Second Grade Parent: “this math style is like 2+2=5 with picture drawings. I cringe at the thought of algebra being taught this way.”
