This will be Coach Trayno's third year as head coach of the Silver Hawks. He has spent the previous 6 seasons as the Defensive Coordinator. Coach Trayno's defenses hold 18 school records including: interceptions in a game, sacks in a game and season, tackles for loss in a game and season, fewest rushing yards allowed in a game and season, fewest yards allowed in a game, and fewest points allowed in a season. Coach has led 9 of the 20 Monster Club performances. Coach Trayno also works with the Inside Linebackers. 6 of his linebackers rank among the top tacklers in school history. Coach Trayno teaches physical education at LSW.

Coach Berks serves as the defensive line coach and pass rush specialist. Coach Berks has been coaching at LSW for 14 seasons. Under Coach Berks, many defensive lineman have earned college opportunities in addition to post season recognition. His players hold records for tackles for loss in a game and season, sacks in a game, season, and career. Coach's units hold school records for sacks in a game and season, tackle for loss in a game and season, fewest rushing yards allowed in a game and season, fewest total yards allowed in a game, and fewest points allowed in a season. Coach Berks teaches English at LSW and serves as the leader of the LSW Fellowship of Christian Athletes.

Coach Asch serves as the offensive coordinator and offensive line coach. Coach Asch has been coaching at LSW for 9 seasons. In 2024, Coach's offensive line paved the way to help us average 125 Rushing Yards per Game, 2.4 Rushing Touchdowns per Game, and 4.6 Yards per Rush. His offensive lines have helped set 28 school records. Coach Asch teaches Math at LSW. He also coaches discus for the Track & Field team.

Coach Summers serves as the Cornerbacks coach. Coach Summers has been with LSW for 11 seasons. Under Coach Summers LSW has set records for interceptions in a game and pass break ups for a career. Coach's punt returners averaged 18.6 yards per return and scored 2 touchdowns in 2024. Coach Summers teaches Social Studies at Scott Middle School.

Coach Pieper serves as the wide receivers coach. This is his third year with the LSW program. In 2024, Coach's receivers accounted for 1,441 yards receiving and 12 touchdowns. The receivers had the 5th best receiving season in school history. Coach was a member of the Nebraska football team for five years where he started for 3 years at long snapper. Coach Pieper teaches Special Education at LSW.

This will be Coach Kantor's 1st season working with safeties but 15th overall at LSW. Coach has spent his time in various roles with LSW football from 2003-2017. Prior to coming back to LSW, he had stints at Lincoln North Star, Lincoln Northeast, Pius X, and Crete High School. Coach Kantor teaches Special Education here at LSW.

Coach Lenners serves as the Tight Ends coach. This will be his third year with Southwest. Coaches Tight Ends helped the 2024 Silver Hawk run game average 125 yards per game and 4.6 yards per rush. They also had a hand in the passing game finishing 3rd on the team in receptions. A former Silver Hawk, Coach was a member of KSU football team and earned All Big-XII Honors in 2019.

Coach Fusco serves as the Head Freshman Coach and Freshman Defensive Coordinator. Coach Fusco has been with LSW for 6 seasons. Coach Fusco teaches Industrial Tech at Park Middle School.

Coach Anderson serves as the Offensive Coordinator for the Freshman program. This will be Coach Anderson's third year with LSW and 9th season overall coaching. He teaches Social Studies at LSW.

Coach Ferguson helps with our Freshmen team. This will be Coach Ferg's third year with LSW. Prior to LSW, Coach played football at Concordia University.

Crystal serves as our Head Athletic Trainer. Crystal has led in this position since 2004. She was recognized as the State Athletic Trainer of the Year in 2013. Crystal was honored by the Lincoln Journal Star Girls & Women in Sports & Fitness in 2020 as an Anne Campbell Pioneer Award Recipient. 

Rebecca serves as our Assistant Athletic Trainer. Rebecca has been with LSW since 2007. Rebecca graduated from Southern Illinois University and has held her certification since 2002.
