Application process

Thank you for your interest in becoming a member of the Student Council at Standing Bear!


We are looking for the students who are willing to learn about leadership and practice leadership skills by being an active representative of our school, share their ideas, create school traditions by leading the school events, contribute their time to school-wide projects, and inspire others. 


We would like to ask you to fill out an application to be a part of the Student Council for the next year. 


Please use the link to fill out the form. The application will be closed on April 12th, 2024.


We would like to let you know that next year the Student Council students will meet during the advisement, some meetings will be held before/after school (depending what works the best for the group). You might also be asked to complete a task during lunch time (ex.: selling tickets for the events or finishing the posters).


If you think you will be able to make a commitment and the involvement will work for your schedule, please ask three references to complete a reference form for you. Please make sure that two references are your teachers from this school year. Avoid anyone you’re related to.

After reviewing the applications, the Committee will choose the candidates for an interview. You will be notified about it through your school email. The interviews will be conducted on Zoom or in person (if you are a student at Standing Bear High School).
