During the summer, as Cheerleading practice kicks off, all returning Cheerleaders choose a new Cheerleading to partner up with as a "Big-Little" Duo! After matches are made, Littles figure out who their Big is through our annual summer reveal.
Every summer, Cheerleaders have the opportunity to attend Summer Cheer Camp in Lincoln. During camp, Cheerleaders learn new skills, along with performance routines that will be showcased throughout the year.
We perform a pep rally/competition-style cheer routine for the Booster Club event each August. All LNW Cheerleaders participate as one team!
Students in grades K-5 join the LNW Cheerleaders for a Thursday night practice and a Friday night game, performing both a pre-game routine and cheering on the sidelines through first quarter of the Varsity football game.
Varsity, JV, and Reserve teams cheer on the sidelines at this Varsity football game celebration. Cheerleaders participate in Spirit Week during the days leading up to the big event.
Again we get a chance to perform a full-length routine as a full program at the local event, celebrating many regional spirit groups at the high school and college levels.
We travel to Grand Island in February to compete at this state-wide event. All Varsity team members and other invited members will compete in the Class B Game Day division.
Senior Cheerleaders and their parents become the main event at a near-end-of-season basketball game, celebrating the accomplishments and future plans of those graduating out of our program.
Approximately one week after the end of the season, we gather as a program to celebrate the year's accomplishments!
