Welcome to my MD k-2 class!
About the teacher:
My name is Emily Kologrivov, and I am so excited to be your child’s teacher this school year! If you’re wondering how to pronounce my last name, it’s: “polo with a K-gre-vov.” And don’t worry if you have trouble with it—I’ll teach you! 😊
While I know we will have the opportunity to meet in person at Back to School Night on Monday, September 14, I wanted to introduce myself and share a little about myself prior to the opening of school. I attended Montclair State University, where I studied education and earned my Teacher of Students with Disabilities certification. I had a wonderful experience at Montclair and truly enjoyed my time there. I have been teaching special education for 3 years, and bring a wealth of knowledge of working with students of all ages. I find great fulfillment in supporting students as they learn, grow, and work toward achieving their individual goals.
Here are a few fun facts about me:
1) I grew up in Bergen County.
2) I have a dog, named Laila
3) I come from a big family—I have six siblings!
