Reading Homework:
Read for 15-20 minutes every night.
Students will receive a decodable reader to keep at home that reviews the concept of the week as well as red words. Reading homework is to read for 15 minutes every night. During the 15 minutes of reading, students should read the decodable reader and if time permits, they can then read a book of their choice. Reading the decodable reader aloud every night will help to increase fluency and comprehension.
Vocabulary Homework:
Please complete the vocabulary sheet that is sent home every Thursday for homework.
Math Homework:
Monday-Thursday: Please complete the math Home Link paper related to the day's lesson. Tear it out of the HomeLink Book and put it in your child's blue folder to return to school.
Spelling Homework:
Fluency Page: Given on Mondays to be handed in on Friday. Please see the directions for the fluency page below. If your child finishes the sentences before the minute is up, you can have them start from the top of the sentences and record how many words were read.
