Johnson-Williams Middle School Chapter
The J-WMS chapter of the National Junior Honor Society is excited to begin the application process for eligible students for the 2023-2024 school year. Each student that is eligible for selection into the J-WMS chapter of NJHS must meet a specific criteria, submit an application, be accepted and approved for membership, and then formally inducted into the organization. The selected students will receive their membership obligations along with their induction certificate and pin.
Induction will be on March 28, 2024
Eligibility criteria is as follows for SY 2023-2024:
Students must have an "A" in all classes in the first & second quarter of this current school year; and have earned all "A's" in the third & fourth quarter of last school year; 2022-2023.
Students must have completed at least ten community service hours prior to acceptance and commit to completing a service project with the chapter. The service project will be offered to all members to successfully participate.
Students must submit a 250 word max essay describing their character and commitment to community service.
Signature of four teachers, two of which are core subject area teachers; in support of the student's application.
Students must be in 7th or 8th grade.
Students' applications are reviewed by the Faculty council and candidates are selected for membership.
