I graduated from Clarke Community High School in Osceola, in 1987. I am teaching in the same room that I took speech class. In 1993, I received my BFA degree from the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls, IA, in Communications and Fine Arts. Go Panthers!

My first teaching job was in Burlington High School where I first started coaching in the NFL (National Forensic League) which is now named NSDA (National Speech and Debate Association). I moved back home during the summer of 1995 to start teaching and coaching at my alma mater.

I teach all grade levels currently in the Middle School / High School building, teaching Speech, Theatre, and Employability Skills. I coach MS Football, MS Baseball, and the HS Speech Team (IHSSA and NSDA). I also direct the Fall Musical and Spring Play.

In my spare time, what little there is, I like to stay fit by kayaking or running. I also enjoy spending time with my wife and family.
