CCRPI & School Climate
Each year, the Georgia Department of Education (GaDOE) releases its College and Career Readiness Performance Index (CCRPI) scores for each school in the state. The CCRPI is a formula of mostly test scores and test score growth that rates schools on a 0-100 scale.
In 2024, the Clarke County School District's overall CCRPI score was a 72.3. Elementary schools scored a 77.3; Middle schools scored a 67.7; and High schools scored a 67.7.
Also included in the CCRPI reports are School Climate Star Ratings, which provide ratings for schools on a 1 star to 5 star scale based on School Climate, Discipline, Safety, and Attendance. In 2024, 11 out of 21 schools in CCSD received a 4- or 5-star rating.
CCRPI is composed of the following categories:
Content Mastery is determined by student achievement on standardized tests (Georgia Milestones).
Progress measures individual student growth on standardized tests relative to the previous year and is mostly derived from SGP results.
Closing Gaps is calculated based on test score improvement targets for student subgroups including economically disadvantaged, English Learners, students with disabilities, and race/ethnicity groups.
Readiness measures literacy, student attendance, and enrollment in certain non-core classes such as world language in elementary school or advanced placement in high school.
Graduation is based on the cohort graduation rate.
