Project Grad Info from Mrs. Jones:
PARENTS!! IMPORTANT INFO REGARDING PROJECT GRADUATION.
****EVERY senior MUST sign up to attend project graduation, as well as their guest if they choose to bring one. Mrs. Newton sent the link to the the registration forms. You can copy the form, fill it out, and email back to Mrs. Jones or print and have student turn back into Mrs. Jones. This is to ensure we get those registered t-shirt sizes as well as food prep.
*** Gift Cards - We currently have 80 gift cards with about 30 students signed up to come already. Usually we anticipate about 1/2 the student class attend. So we need help gathering up those gift cards or monetary donations is fine as well & we can get those.
*** DONATIONS - We are still shy of about $3,000 of our $25,000 it takes to put this event on. If you would share the letter below with friends, family, business owners that would be great!
*** Tuesday May 6th, at 6:00 pm I am going to have a short project grad meeting in the flex room upstairs to go over what we still need to get, how we are with money & gift cards & assign job duties. Then on May 20th at 6:00 pm we will meet to put the swag bags together, organize t-shirts, sort ticket bags, & prize bags.
*** ALSO, we are needing a few things .... prizes for bingo, anyone have any connections we could get some free frosty's, blizzards, ice cream cones, coffee, food.... anything would be great. They play bingo all night so we need little prizes to hand out. I am also looking for a couple sumo outfits, the ones I wanted are not available.... Last thing, does anyone have a good karaoke machine or know anyone who would come set up for us.
*** Thank you all so much for helping spread the word for this event. Seniors are really looking forward to this event so let's try to make it the best Project Graduation ever!!!

Baccalaureate Ceremony Info:
All seniors and their families are invited to GRC's traditional Baccalaureate service honoring them on Sunday, May 18 at 6:00 pm.
This year's event will be hosted at Calvary Christian Church, 15 Redwing Drive, Winchester. Seniors who would like to participate are asked to bring their graduation gown (no cap) and arrive by 5:30 pm to the church's gym. Baccalaureate will last about one hour, and Calvary will provide refreshments afterwards.
GRADUATION PRACTICE INFORMATION--PLEASE READ!
Day 1: Friday, 5/16-Students will arrive at 8:30 AM. Day one will be our longest day because it takes time to get over 400 kiddos in place and then to practice walking. We will get kiddos out as fast as possible, but it will rely on the students' behavior and listening to Cecil and Newton! PLEASE NOTE: If a student is absent on day one, he or she will automatically be moved to the end of the alphabet; we can't have kids miss when we're arranging everyone and cause us to have to move the student body once they're arranged!
Day 2: Monday, 5/19-8:30-12:30ish (Again, kids will leave sooner than later if behavior is in check!)
Tuesday, 5/20-NO SCHOOL (teacher work day)
Day 3: Wednesday, 5/21-8:30-12:30ish
Day 4: FINAL GRAD PRACTICE: Thursday, 5/22-8:30-12:30ish
Day 5: GRADUATION DAY! The ceremony will begin PROMPTLY at 7:00 PM @ Cardinal Stadium. (Inclement weather plan will be announced the day before the ceremony)
If a student has to miss any practice, contact Mrs. Cecil. However, EVERYONE is expected on day one, so make arrangements to be at practices now!
For those decorating a cap, remember that you must follow handbook policies, i.e., no foul language or references to drugs or alcohol. Students who do not observe these policies will not be allowed to walk.
If you haven't ordered a cap and gown, you'll need to come see Newton for a loaner if you want to walk!
Senior trip was cancelled due to low number of sign-ups. Refunds are being handled through the Board of Ed. Please direct all questions to chantel.akers@clark.kyschools.us.
