Course overview

This course is designed to give students a foundation in the mathematical study of shapes, their properties, and their relationships. Emphasis is placed on student discovery and exploration and on formulating and defending conjectures. Students will use a variety of approaches, such as coordinate, transformational, and axiomatic systems. They will also develop an appreciation for the connections between geometry and other disciplines, such as art and architecture. Students are expected to use technology throughout the course.
