Please be on time each day! School begins at 7:50!
Important Information:
Mrs. Hancock's Office Hours - Tuesdays 3:00-4:00 This is an opportunity for remediation, make-up tests, or retakes on assignments. Please let me know in advance if your child is staying and what he/she may need. Please adhere to the 4:00 pickup time.
Our school day begins at 7:50 and ends at 2:50.
Both breakfast and lunch are free at MES.
MES allows two parties per year - one at Christmas and one at the end of the year. Even though I will acknowledge birthdays, students may not have birthday parties at school.
Your child will be administered some very important tests this year. MAP Testing is given 3 times a year to assess student progress and levels. Benchmark Tests are given each nine weeks for the four subject areas. These Benchmark Test scores are included in your child's overall average for the marking period. At the end of the school year, your child will take SCReady for reading math and science.
There are a few things that you might want to know about me. Can you believe that I have been teaching for 22 years? I have loved school ever since I was a little girl!
My family is very important to me. Besides my husband Danny, I also have 3 children (Emily - 33, Hannah - 31, and Patrick - 27). I also have 3 precious grandchildren who are the apples of my eye. Shaelyn is 12 years old (and a 6th grader) , Gage is 4years old (and in 4 year old kindergarten) and Damien is 3 months old. I have 1 pet. I have a fat, lazy cat that I adopted from the SPCA. Her name is Kitty and she lives outside. Her favorite place to hang out is on our back porch.
When I'm not at school, I like to travel, go shopping, and spend time with my family.
One more thing that you should know - I love Diet Coke and Reese's Cups! They make me a happy teacher! lol
