I am Mrs. Jamie Dowell and I’ll be teaching you reading, writing and social studies. This will be my sixth year as a teacher, and my fourth year as a fourth grade teacher (my first two years I taught fifth grade).
I knew that I wanted to be a teacher after I had my daughter. I fell in love with the idea of being able to teach children and help them to become the best versions of themselves. I truly love my job! I graduated in 2017 from the University of South Carolina Upstate with my bachelor's degree in elementary education.
I grew up in Sumter, but now I live here in Manning with my husband, Joe, and our two children, Annabelle (9) and Taylor (3).
