I have been teaching in 1978. I have always taught math, both in middle and high school levels. I have a Bachelors degree in Math Education and a Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction. 

I have been married to my husband, Roney Simon, for 45 years. We have daughter, Latasha and her son, Leon 'Button' Miller IV. I am a lifetime member of the St. John Baptist Church in the Silver community.

I have coached softball for 25 years. I was named in the softball hall of fame. Was teacher of the year 3 times.
