Introduction


World war two was one of the worst wars that has ever happened in the history of the earth. 75 million people died in World War II, 40 million civilians and about 20 million military personnel .


                     What causes led up to the Battle of Britain?



Hitler started his campaign to total world domination. Against the allies worried that Germany could not raised a big military  under are noses, they grew their army immensely. Hitler kept pursuing the German people. Once Hitler got the position of Dictator  he was ready to start his campaign to rule the world . As he started his march on Poland the allies got worried that Germany was machine toward Poland. France and England said if Germany attacked Poland, England and France would declare war on Germany. Germany thought they were bluffing so he attacked Poland and Britain and France declared war on Germany and Poland was defeated in two and a half  weeks . Germany moved it’s sites on france. France was defeated in six weeks the only thing standing in their way was Britain !






             How did Britain defend itself during the Battle of Britain?








               How did Britain keep the children safe during ww2?


They sent the children away to the centre by kinder transport  . They stade in temporary families. They would bring an Overcoat or mackintosh,Comb ,1 pair of Wellington boots,Towel,Soap,Face Cloth,Toothbrush,Boots or shoes,Plimsolls,SandwichesPacket of nuts , raisinsDry biscuits ,Barley sugar (rather than sugar) and Apples  and they also managed to sneak in a book or two in a tiny little supcase that they bring . the families that the children are temporarily living in for the war will usually put them to work .
