Praise for The Joyful Visibility Creativity Circle

Welcome!

The Joyful Visibility Creativity Circle is a transformative space for women to explore writing as a healing, empowering, creative practice that connects us with ourselves, our authentic voice, and the experience of being alive.

There is no critique, no analysis. Just soulful support, inspiring prompts, and rule-free creativity in an intimate group setting of no more than eight.

I hope the words below from some of the participants, along with the full description on my website, help you discern if this could be a fit for you.

If you sense that it is, I can't wait to see you there!

With love and creativity,

Claire

"It was liberating"

" I enjoy writing, but can overthink it. The circle appealed to me as a safe, open place to experiment and let go. I was also curious about creative (non-work related) writing as a way in. I wasn’t disappointed! The way Claire held the space, and the presence of the other women, reminded me there is no right or wrong - somehow freeing me up.

During the private writing time , I didn’t write much. I experienced resistance and started to judge myself for it. But as I listened to the other women share their writing and simply voiced that I had felt stuck, I felt seen and held by the group - and it shifted something. I began to accept where I was, rather than fighting it. In the days afterwards I felt inspired to write much more than usual, which was an unexpected gift!

The world needs more spaces like this - where we can be seen just as we are. Where we don’t need to show up in any particular way. It’s liberating - an antidote to the hustle. I can’t wait to join again!"

- Su Mee Tan, Coach, Trainer, Improviser

"It was a space where we could be real"

"I was drawn to the circle by Claire herself, as someone who is wonderfully creative and willing to put herself out there. Immediately, I felt very held by both Claire and the group. It felt nurturing but also strong, a space where we could be real.

It was such a pleasure to take time for myself and to tap into the power of writing to reflect on my past year, and to do that in a way that felt raw and honest – and also beautiful.

I will definitely be back - thank you!”

- Catriona Horey, Leadership and Life Coach

"I Immediately felt at home"

"I was drawn by the title of this offering. Joy and Visibility mean a lot to me these days. Having been deeply entrenched in fighting the patriarchy recently, the fact that this was a women’s circle also felt important.

I arrived feeling excited and proud that I’d given myself this space to connect and be. But also feeling a bit of a fraud: “I’m not a writer. Is this really for me?”

I immediately felt at home, though still unsure if any ‘writing’ would flow. But with the permission to play and the space to create, I ended up writing a poem.

A few years ago I didn’t even read poetry. Now I find myself writing it.

Thanks Claire for making this possible!"

- Sonia Stevenson, Creative Entrepreneur

"It feels very freeing"

"I joined the circle, not expecting anything in particular, but wanted to experience Claire’s work again. I have the greatest trust, admiration, and respect for her ability to guide people from an intuitive, heart-led space based on other classes and programmes she offers.

I’ve journaled before, but haven’t used prompts like the ones we use in the sessions—and was very surprised by what came up for me. When I sit in meditation, or do my yoga practice, I'm channeling a wiser inner self, but the prompts, and how the session is structured, give permission for parts of myself that otherwise might not surface and speak their wisdom. It feels very freeing.

I loved being with a group of women who were giving themselves permission to express in ways that perhaps we don't give ourselves permission to, from a societal point of view. So that in itself—whether you want to be a writer or are simply writing for yourself—allows you to tap into inner resources you already possess and express yourself authentically, which is powerful.

The small group size works well—it is intimate and nourishing, and it is amazing to work with Claire again and experience the magic she brings.

"It was an empowering, expansive experience"

"Joining a women’s circle like this was a complete experiment for me. There was something very special about being part of a small circle of women, where we could be entirely ourselves – and the way Claire structured and held the space made it very easy to do that.

I loved the sharing part of the circle time – where we reflected back what each other’s writing, had touched in us. When I shared my writing, it felt good to hear my own words out loud, and to be heard by the group. It was an empowering, expansive experience.

We had time to write during the session itself, which was so helpful. Where else do we give ourselves permission to sit with a notebook and write whatever happens to be in our minds? But with the structure of the prompts, and the guided support from Claire, it felt very natural.

If I simply made a date with myself to write, I’m not sure I’d do it. Having the monthly structure of the circle is a powerful frame to give me the time and space I long for, but sometimes struggle to give myself."

- Caroline MacGregor, Founder

"The whole experience has inspired me to write more"

"I joined the circle because I was seeking out more spaces to connect authentically with women and experience more feminine energy. I was also looking for new ways to creatively express myself in a supportive space.

The experience was heart opening and emotionally validating. I felt seen by Claire and the other women in the circle and gained a deeper sense of the shared female experience. It’s a space where vulnerability and emotion is honoured with the reverence it deserves.

Claire and the other women in the space are wonderful. They made me feel seen and whole, just the way I am. Their responses to my work also gave me confidence in finding my voice and sharing it. With writing, so often you think you have nothing to share, but the prompts Claire offered gave me many ideas. I have often revisited them in my personal journaling sessions and they have been so helpful.

This whole experience has given me confidence in my creative writing ability. Like so many people, I never thought I was good enough or had anything to say as a writer and the circle has helped me in debunking these limiting beliefs. The whole experience has inspired me to write more and share it more. It has also helped find confidence in my voice, my story and creative talents."
