About

Welcome to TNT!

Welcome to TNT Primary School, home of the Eagles! Nestled in south Claiborne County, TNT Primary is a bright, welcoming school of around 550 K-4th grade students. Our school opened in 1974. An addition was built in 1991.

At TNT, students are welcomed into a cheerful, caring environment. Every day, students have the opportunity to learn core academics with engaging teachers who are trained in a variety of strategies to meet each individual student’s needs. Throughout the week, students also rotate through a series of related arts classes like Physical Education, Library, SEL, and Technology

Our Mission

The mission of TNT Primary School in partnership with parents and the community is to ensure that students attain academic proficiency in all subject areas. It is our goal to assist each child in developing the emotional, intellectual, physical, and social abilities necessary to solve problems creatively, communicate effectively, and be responsible citizens in our ever-changing world.

The Vision

It is our vision that all students are capable of learning and should be on grade level in reading, language, and math by the end of the third grade year. Instructional strategies should be designed to offer equal opportunity for student learning to occur in different ways and on different levels.

Car Riders

When dropping off your child at school before 8:00 a.m., please use the side entrance of the school. Join the flow of traffic around the side of the building and as you pull up to the curb, your child may exit the vehicle on the building side of the car and enter the building through the double doors. There will always be adult supervision in this area until 8:00 a.m. At 8:00 a.m., these doors will be locked. We do not allow cars to pull up to the curb at the front entrance of the building to drop off students before 8:00 a.m. These are transit lanes and traffic must keep moving. We have a few students who require assistance getting into the building and this is also our handicap entrance.

When picking up your child in the afternoons, all cars must have a school-issued pick-up tag visible in the vehicle. Your child’s name must be on the tag. We cannot let any child enter a vehicle without these pick-up tags. This ensures that children are leaving with the appropriate adults. You may get as many tags as you need for different people who may be picking up your child. Pick-up tags are available in the front office.
