Thank you for your HELP & your donations!!

Subject: in-kind contribution form, two styles, 2020/04/16
Neighborhood Leaders ~
🌟 please fill out and send your in-kind forms to treasurer asap 🌟
In the "Description" box, the description is for the items donated. All a donor needs to say in the description box is "stamps", or "envelopes", or "stamps and envelopes"
In the "Value" box, the amounts are aggregated.
Values:
-- stamps, 2026: First-Class Letter, 1oz max, are 82 cents each, no matter what the donor may have paid for
versions of Forever stamps.
-- envelopes = 5 cents each, or the cost to the donor, which ever is greater.
Clackamas Democrats bought envelopes for a nickel apiece.
Ex: If I buy a box of 45 Strip and Seal envelopes at Fred Meyer for $1.99, DPCC would get to claim a value of 5 cents (rounded up) each for the ones you use.

OUR EFFORTS NOW CAN WIN KEY non-Partisan SEATS
‘With all the chaos coming out of Washington DC, I know you are joining me in defending the rights of every person; every person, who calls Oregon their home. No matter where they come from, who they love or how they identify.
Because that is who we are as Oregonians’ -Gov. Kotek
Hi! & thank you for your help with this spring election!
Ron @ DPO (the outreach leader @ the State party, who provide the software and manages the program) has made a significant change this election year, adding Non-Affiliated Voters (aka, NAVs), who lean toward Democratic values & support.
Importantly,
We are viewing these new doors as Informational!!
And, *Many County NL's are excited about this change.*
If you want to visit the new doors - either change the doors you prioritize to fit the turf size to your interest or take more materials to visit all the people in the expanded turf.
All the news I have about how we are managing this change, key races, mail-in voting details and links to the ClackDems training refresher, and the latest for OregonNLP "gold stars" database follows:
Key Clackamas races:
This is the 50% + 1 Wins the Seat Race: Clackamas County Commission. Several Democrat candidates, including former commissioners, are vying for the 3 open seats. They've shared a bunch. Of the proposals, I'm excited that they plan to continue restoring basic respect and dignity to the office. It is, effectively, the City Council for HD41 voters who live in the unincorporated areas:
(pct #s: 420, 500, 501 & 502, I'm looking at you (= )
The CD5 federal House seat is a contested primary. Be sure to cast a vote in that race - Our Executive Committee, eg. our county PCPs, want to see what our Clackamas County CD5 Democrats have to say at the ballot.
How do I get materials
William, our House District Leader, has secured the community room @ the Ledding Library in Milwaukie on Tuesday, Apr 28 from 5:30p to 6:30p.
Like many volunteer organizations, funds are tight. The county printed a Generic Slate that is useful for all House Districts.
We will want to add: (house) 41 / (senate) 21 / & 5 (congressional) into the slots at the top of slates we distribute.
And to Circle or Highlight all of the candidates for the races specific to our district to help our neighbors use this 'comprehensive slate' efficiently.
The good part of this consolidated design is that everyone can share it with their family and friends living in other Clackamas County districts!

Why do I have 2 Turfs with the same number?
With the short notice about this helpful change HD41 has chosen to provide both the Original and the "Dem+" versions of the Turf walk lists. I've found this makes it easier for some of us to see the new people and explore the new vs. old walk lists efficiently.
This is all new to all of us so, we're assuming business-as-usual, with a few of us jumping both feet into the new list to test the waters and build a stronger network of relations with our neighbors beyond or Registered Democrats.

Key Points
Visiting the "NAV" voters is optional. And this offers an opportunity to those who want to increase the community connections they have and to build toward what is building up to be a very consequential 2026 General Election.
With the change, we see that many of these NAV's live in an address that is already on the existing turf. We can now see these voters on our lists and acknowledge them as part of our visit. A few are new doors. Most turfs grew about 10% - 3 to 5 doors. Some, however, grew more dramatically.
What do I do?
We recommend walking using the new map, even if you plan to skip the doors marked as "N" and to only visit your usual "D" doors.
If you walk using MiniVAN, load the MapID from the Dem+ into MiniVAN -- this will help your data sync into OregonNLP in a way that lets you see who of the NAVs are voting. (I am looking forward to learning more about NAV voting patters since, as a mass, navs vote at a very low rate)
Ways to Find you List ID for MiniVAN:
Some people will see the number in OregonNLP. Right now, NLP isn't reliably loading the ListID from VAN. To find your list ID, use the turf map labeled 2026P D+, and find the page with the map.
The list # will be to the right side of page 2 of the walk list PDF. The page shows the turf map. The format 8 Numbers, a dash, then 5 numbers.
LET US KNOW if you want extra slates for the "N" doors 📃 😀 👍
Return your ballot to an Official Clackamas County Dropbox 🗳️ 📬 ✅
If you Mail, Mail Early!
For HD 41 voters, Consider the Friday, May 8th the last day to mail (but I'd send mine by 5/7).
Federal shenanigans aside, we still maintain the right to vote by mail. However, ballots now MUST ARRIVE BEFORE POLLS CLOSE ON ELECTION DAY.
For voters in Rural districts, they should mail by May 4th to avoid the slow ways mail is routed and sorted.
Lastly, take a moment to Ask for Help!
With the growth happening in the county and rising dissatisfaction with the Republican priorities nationally, the turfs are getting bigger every election.
Most turfs will split into 2 lists using an "Even/Odd" function offered by the software. This makes it Really Easy to divide the walk into 2 unique halves! (And, bonus, mini-van can track mulitple NL's walking the same turf!)
AND - HD41 Leaders are here. Ask! It's best to Reply-ALL to this email. Or, write hd41.leaders@clackamasdems.org where your message is less likely to get lost in our personal inboxes (=

What about the Data?! & ...
Where do I find Training & Refreshers!?
Re: OregonNLP aka NLPServices
This is the 'gold stars' database that makes it easiest to see who has and hasn't had thier vote
It is taking a lot of time to reset the various lists and tools to support this change but the DEM+ turfs will become available in OregonNLP over the next week.
Reminder: MiniVan
After you log into the miniVAN app, Just add the ListID that is on your to use the Dem+ Map from your walk list and Oregon's Neighboorhod Leader program software will sync your data from the master voter database we use to create the maps and walk lists.
The App will guide your walk (or Drive) and will show if a house has Only "N" (navs) or Includes "D" (dem) voters
[ learn more about about miniVan on YouTube ]
[ Get the app: Apple – or – Android ]
And concludes with Ron Morgan providing the Statewide OregonNLP & MiniVan training from his Point-of-View as the statewide NLP co-founder, leader & state+national adovcate.
