What is on During Book Week

At Assembly we will launch Book Week Scotland, The First Minister's Reading Challenge and our Sponsored Readathon.

Meaningful, comprehension activities will take place in classes. Home Learning Reading Packs will be sent home.

Authors will virtually visit classes. Pupils will get the opportunity to listen to them reading extracts from their books or poems.

As it is 'Talking Tuesday' pupils will also interview the authors/poets.

Pupils will take part in 'Writing' activities which link to what they are reading in class/group.

At Assembly each class will share some of the learning activities they have carried out for Book Week Scotland.

Today pupils will participate in a Reading Cafe, bring a Book to Lunch and Book Swap.

Tonight, Family Reading Event 6.30-7pm. Come and join in the fun, (Remember to bring your hot chocolate!)

Dress Up To Feel Good!

Today, pupils can dress up, they might even want to come as a book character!

'Fun' activities to end Book Week Scotland 2021, such as, create lego model of a character from their book, Book Scavenger Hunt, paint setting and so many more.
