Chromebook needs a "Tune-up"

Chromebook is showing low disk space, or acting slow. This is a good process for keeping a Chromebook in good working order.

Chromebook is definitely broken or charger is broken or missing

Because of the situation right now, all repairs are being handled in one location for the whole district. Please complete the repair request form, linked here:

https://forms.gle/TFprBcvRx8wz7Ldr7

After you hit submit, don’t miss the appointment link on the last page!

There will be a link to a calendar to schedule a drive through appointment. They will swap your broken Chromebook for one that works. Contact Erika Cassel, OHS Librarian, if you have difficulties.

Beginning on Monday, November 2 the student Chromebook Pickup/Repair location will change! Student Chromebook pickup/repair appointments will be located at CKSD Operations Services Center (next to Silverdale Elementary). Families should no longer go to TLC to pick up Chromebooks/hotspots.

Chromebook “acting weird” or “glitching” or “sites not loading correctly” or really any mysterious problem - these are the first steps

1. Clear your Cookies and Cache -

  • In Chrome: go to the three dots on the right of the toolbar

  • Go to Settings

  • Scroll down to “Show Advanced Settings”

  • Under “Privacy” choose “Clear Browsing Data”

  • Click on “Advanced” tab

  • Select “All time” from Time range, check the appropriate boxes, and click “CLEAR DATA”

  • Note - students are not able to clear browsing history or download history. This is managed at the district level (you’ll see the little icon next to these in students’ settings).

3. Remove your profile by clicking the down arrow next to your name before you sign in

4. Sign in again
