World Language

At Christ the King students will be emerged into the Spanish language using Duolingo Schools.  Vocabulary and grammar taught in class will follow the the same structure as that in Duolingo so student will be able to practice easily at home.  

Each quarter students will also learn about cultures and customs around the world.  Students will study holidays, foods, celebrations, geography, and ways of life.  

TEchnology

Students will learn to type using the Typetastic program for schools.  TypeTastic School Edition includes a fun and inspiring K-12 keyboarding curriculum along with a suite of teacher tools.  Students embark on a thrilling island adventure to collect words and letters in exciting landscapes while becoming fluent typists. 

Students will use the Tynker program to begin on the adventure of coding.  Students start in 3rd grade with block coding and have the opportunity to move into Python, AI or more advanced coding.  

Students in 5th grade will learn all things Google.  We will explore the google suite and learn to properly format a document, make a spread sheet, graph, add conditional formatting, and slides.

I am Erin Klepp.  I graduated from Holy Family University with a teaching/special education degree.   I teach World Language, Technology and Study Skill.   Before working at Christ the King, I worked in the Early Intervention field as a teacher and ABA supervisor.  Teaching has always been my passion, I am so lucky to teach at CKRS.  My interests include animal rescue, sports, and music.
