Welcome to the 2024-2025 school year!!!!
Students at Christ the King Regional school have the opportunity to take Spanish as a second language. Classes take place once or twice a week depending on the grade. We will be following the text book Asi de Dice for curriculum which aligns nicely with IXL Spanish for practice.
We will also cover geography, culture, and history of Spanish speaking countries as well as countries around the world.
Students will learn to type using the Typetastic program for schools. TypeTastic School Edition includes a fun and inspiring K-12 keyboarding curriculum along with a suite of teacher tools. Students embark on a thrilling island adventure to collect words and letters in exciting landscapes while becoming fluent typists.
Students will use the Tynker program to begin on the adventure of coding. Students start in 3rd grade with block coding and have the opportunity to move into Python, AI or more advanced coding.
Students in 5th grade will learn all things Google. We will explore the google suite and learn to properly format a document, make a spread sheet, graph, add conditional formatting, and slides.
