Religion

The fourth-grade Religious program emphasizes on the Ten Commandments and encourages students to live their lives according to Jesus' example.

Readers Workshop

 We utilize Rigby’s Literacy by Design, which offers a variety of fiction and non-fiction selections tied to Science and Social Studies themes, all aligned with national standards for each grade level.

Writers Workshop

 Our curriculum includes personal narrative writing, fiction writing, and persuasive writing. Additionally, we incorporate various other forms of writing throughout the year, such as poetry and letter writing.

Mathematics

We utilize Sadliers Progress in Mathematics.  It features an extensive review and systematic progression of the skills and concepts that the students learned in third grade.  Some concepts that we focus on are multi-digit multiplication, division, fractions, and geometry. 

Science

The major topics we study are soil, water, weather, energy, and matter.

Social Studies

The major topic for fourth grade is the study of  America and her regions with an added focus on our state of New Jersey. writing.
