We are really excited that you have expressed interest in participating in our TEDxYouth@ColtonHigh event on March 8th 2019. This official TEDx event is being sponsored by Colton High School students members of TED Ed Club. Our goal is to bring our community together to discuss the issues that we are currently facing and discuss possible solutions. Some of the topics that will be discussed are jobs and careers, health and wellness, women empowerment, and social justice. The event will be composed of a series of carefully prepared and powerful 10 to 15 minute TED style talks. The speakers we will select will be local volunteers, non controversial, and without commercial purposes. We also expect to have performances and other intermissions that display our community's cultural values. This ideas festival is different from most functions in the sense that this is a grassroots effort funded and hosted entirely by our community. This means that this event's success will only be possible if YOU get involved! There are three ways to do this: Attend, Volunteer, and Give. We will continue to send more information as the event nears and please let us know if there is someone we should reach out to. Due to TED rules, seating will be extremely limited, you may start requesting your free tickets by visiting our website. In the meantime, if you have any more questions or concerns please do not hesitate to contact us.
