Mr. Rios' is excited to teach music to all his students. Mr. Rios received his Bachelor's from Cal State Fullerton and Masters from Azusa Pacific University. Mr. Rios enjoys learning about all types of instruments and how they work. He has experience directing wind ensembles, Jazz bands, string orchestra, and mariachi ensembles. He looks forward in sharing his knowledge in music to all his students.

Mrs. Ivy is excited to be starting her fifth full year at Colton Joint Unified School District. She started teaching at CJUSD in November, 2018 and is thankful to be continuing onward. Mrs. Ivy began her career as a music therapist before going back to school to get her master’s degree and teaching credential. Some fun facts about Mrs. Ivy are that everyone in her family has a name that starts with J and one of the vowels (Ja, Je, Ji, Jo, and Ju). She LOVES to read and reads a book everyday. Her favorite animal is the guinea pig and her favorite television show is Jeopardy! Her family has an Australian Cattle Dog named Lucky, two Siberian Husky siblings named Max and Lexie, and a rare white-footed Siamese cat named Smoky.

Mrs. Duckworth is starting her 24th year of teaching, all of which has been teaching elementary band to students in the Colton Joint Unified School District. Mrs. Duckworth received her Bachelors degree in Music Education from the University of Redlands and her Masters degree in Music Education from Boston University. Music abounds in Mrs. Duckworth's family. Her husband is the choir teacher at Bloomington High School and her daughter loves to sing all the time and just started learning to play the flute and bassoon. In addition to teaching elementary band, Mrs. Duckworth serves as secretary for the San Bernardino County Music Educators' Association and secretary for the California Music Educators' Association, Southeastern Section.
