Friends of CJSR Card
The Friends of CJSR Card is an annual discount card made in partnership with Edmontonian businesses (The Friends), that we provide for the people who make CJSR possible: volunteers and donors!
As a major fundraising tool during FunDrive, It’s our way of saying thank you to those who donate for supporting independent radio, and acts as an opportunity to showcase Edmonton's local businesses.
Exciting changes
The Friends of CJSR Card has undergone exciting changes:
Increased customization, and website profile information for Friends.
On-air Birthday Shout-out feature for Cardholders.
Launching a smartphone app of the card to encourage greater engagement. Available for download here:

Lessen your environmental footprint!
For one, local businesses (like our Friends of CJSR) sell products that are made locally - meaning your awesome new pair of jeans don’t have to be shipped across the seven seas, using hundreds of thousands of gallons of fuel just to get to your door!

Help to amplify marginalized voices!
Local businesses amplify and empower.
Not only are local businesses more likely to sell, promote, and display the work of LGBTQ, Black and Indigenous makers or artists in our community, but they are also more likely to support local organizations and initiatives working to empower marginalized groups within Edmonton.
Build Community!
A dollar spent at a local business is a dollar invested into your community! Shopping local creates jobs, and makes Edmonton an all-around cooler city to live in! Who knows - the barista making your coffee just might be your future BFF, business partner, or beau!
