Reading Circle 

Dear Parents,

We’re excited to kick off the Reading Circle Program at the Primary 2nd and 3rd Grade Building!

The purpose of this program is to inspire a love of reading and encourage students to explore a wide variety of books. We hope all of our students will take part in this fun and rewarding experience.

To earn a Reading Circle Certificate, students must read a minimum number of books based on their grade level:

• 2nd Grade: 14 books
  
  

• 3rd Grade: 16 books — including at least 5 nonfiction titles
  (Nonfiction books have numbers on the spine. Fiction books are marked with an “E” for Everyone or an “F” for Fiction — just look for the white label on the spine.)
  
  

Please help your child record each book they read on the attached log throughout the year.

When the list is complete, return it to school by May 1st to qualify for the Reading Circle Award. Students who meet their goal will receive a special certificate and be recognized at our May assembly.
