Advanced Placement Incentive Grant
Amount: up to $500
Criteria: Achieve two grades of three or higher on Advanced Placement exams in the fields of math and/or science while attending a Missouri public high school. Qualifying Advance Placement exams in the fields of math or science include Biology, Calculus AB, Calculus BC, Chemistry, Environmental Science, Physics C, Physics 1, Physics 2 and Statistics. Receive an award under the Access Missouri Student Financial Assistance Program or the A+ Scholarship Program in the academic year in which the Advanced Placement Incentive Grant is awarded. Students who are eligible for the Access Missouri or A+ Scholarship programs but have a calculated award amount of zero are eligible for the Advanced Placement Incentive Grant.

The American Legion Scholarship Programs
Amount: varies by scholarship
Criteria: The student must be a resident of Missouri. Applicants must be under the age of 21, unmarried and a descendant of a veteran with at least ninety days active service in the U. S. Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, or Coast Guard, who have received an Honorable Discharge for such service. A photocopy of the veteran's DD 214, discharge or separation notice must accompany the scholarship application. There are multiple scholarships available: Lillie Lois Ford Scholarship; M.D. "Jack" Murphy Memorial Nurses Training Scholarship; Joseph J. Frank Scholarship; Charles L. Bacon Memorial, Erman W. American Legion - Shane D. Voyles Memorial Scholarship

Criteria: Each high school in the state of Missouri may submit only one application for this award. Applicant must be selected by the faculty of the high school he/she is attending based on the individual's financial need, participation in athletics, participation in school activities/clubs, volunteer work, exceptional leadership qualities, high moral standards and extreme patriotism.

Aspire of Southwest Missouri Scholarship
Amount: $1000 awarded twice annually
Criteria: Resident of or attending school in Jasper or Newton County. Single head of household (single, legally separated, divorced, widowed) and not co-habiting with an ex-spouse, or partner; with primary physical custody of one or more children under the age of 21. Blue Line Scholarship

Criteria: Applicants must be a relative of a law enforcement officer (current, retired, medically discharged, or fallen) and must provide proof of 3.0 GPA or greater and be graduating in Spring 2026. Use PDF or Google Doc for application submission.

Bob Hackney Memorial Scholarship

Criteria: The Bob Hackney Memorial Scholarship will be awarded to a student who quietly impacts others by living life with kindness, humility, and strength of character. Must show financial need. Funds will be used for educational expenses to continue the applicant's education at an accredited post-secondary college, university, or vocational school. Must have maintained a minimum high-school grade-point average of 2.5 and a minimum ACT composite of 20. Must have been involved in school or community activities. Carl Junction Educational Foundation Scholarships
Amount: Several Scholarships available from one application; values vary.
Criteria: Must be a CJHS senior on track for graduation. Funds will be used for educational expenses to continue the applicant's education at an accredited post-secondary college, university, or vocational school. Must have maintained a minimum high school grade point average of 2.5. By applying for a Foundation Scholarship, you will be considered for several scholarships of varying amounts but may only receive one scholarship. Criteria: Any Carl Junction High School senior in the upper 34 percent in the scholastic rank of the current senior class. Applicants must attend a college the following fall and spring semester. Character, personality, and scholarship standing will be a prerequisite of all candidates for the scholarship. An interest in the teaching profession is considered, but not mandatory. Gary Stubblefield Memorial Scholarship
Criteria: Two $500 scholarships annually to graduating Carl Junction High School seniors. The one-time award is paid directly to each student to be applied to future educational expenses. Criteria: Must live within the vicinity of Jasper County; have Senior documentation and planning to attend an accredited College, University, Community College, or Technical School; be a Jasper County Farm Bureau member or the applicant's immediate family must be a member; should be pursuing a degree in Agriculture or acceptable allied areas of study or appropriate Non-Agricultural training. Applicants may apply either for an Agricultural on Non-Agricultural scholarship but not both. The Applicant must specify their choice on the application form. Applicants must be able to demonstrate their leadership, community involvement as well as above average academic ability. Must be able to demonstrate financial need. Missouri Blue Scholarship for Law Enforcement Training

Criteria: The Missouri Blue Scholarship is a law enforcement basic training academy scholarship that makes up to $6,000 available for each selected non-sponsored law enforcement academy recruit to help cover the cost of attending a Missouri basic training academy.

Criteria: The Missouri School Plant Managers Association (MSPMA) seeks to assist qualified applicants who are continuing their education or job training by pursuing any of the following post secondary programs: Bachelor Degree, Associate Degree, Vocational Certificate/ Degree, or Career Training. Criteria: CJHS may nominate two students for this award. The Student Nominee’s past and current public service activities are for altruistic reasons only, marked by unselfish concern for the welfare of others; independent, voluntary and beneficial to the citizens of the greater community outside their school (off-campus); without monetary or material reward or personal gain including favor, advancement or recognition; devoid of any imposed requirement to serve, discrimination, matters of social conflict or difference, or service related to social, political and governmental ideologies, activities, and practices. Webb City Elks Scholarship
Amount: $1,000
Criteria: To be eligible for the Webb City Elks #861 Scholarship, a student must have completed their junior and senior years at Carl Junction High School and plan to be enrolled in an accredited post-secondary college, university, or vocational school. Preference will be given to students attending a technical school, a vocational program, or agricultural program, or family member of an Elks member in good standing, or students with a GPA of 2.5 or higher. Submit General Scholarship Application and Scholarship/Essay Application to Mrs. Kristy Jones via hard copy or email (krijones@cjr1.org).
