Weekly Update 9/15/25

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend and that everyone is excited for another week of preschool fun. This week your child will learn about feelings and how to express them. We will also be talking about apples. Our books, crafts, and activities this week will center around these two themes.

Every morning during our Circle Time, we follow a four-part routine. We Unite through song, Calm by doing a breathing activity, Connect with our classmates, and Commit to keeping the classroom safe by using “listening ears.” Last week, we started practicing our counting.  We will keep working on that and begin talking about colors this week (red, yellow and green to coordinate with the apples).

We will be working on our fine motor skills with crafts like a mosaic apple, and apple tree. We will be reading 'Big Red Apple’, ‘The Apple Farm’, ‘Apple Farmer Annie’, and ‘Apples and Pumpkins.’  

We will have music class again Tuesday with Mrs. Carrier.  On Thursday, we will have Storytime Movement with Mrs. Healy. We will begin Religion on Wednesday with ‘Stories of God’s Love.’ This week’s religion theme is ‘Jesus Welcomes the Children.’

We will celebrate two classmates' birthdays this week.  On Tuesday, we will celebrate Raymond's birthday (which is Monday) and on Wednesday we will celebrate Millie's birthday.  So much fun!
