School Wide Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (SWPBIS) is a research based three tiered model that is used to boost student outcomes by improving and integrating data, systems, and practices.
Tiers 2 and 3 provide additional support to those students that are not seeing success with universal core instruction. Tier 2 provides support in the form of small groups to approximately 10% of students while tier 3 is more individualized supports to approximately 5% of students.
