Using PB Play

The "PB Play" app can be used to create random draws among participating players during your pickleball session. The “PB Play” app is installed on an iPad on a tripod beside the water stand. It is not configured with a password so should be accessible at all times.

Starting PB Play

If the app is not running, tap on the “PB Play” icon on the home screen of the iPad. 

Choose the League

The app has been preloaded with a single league containing all players. Choose the “City View Pickleball” league. 

Choose the players

The league has been preloaded with all registered players. 

The first person to arrive at the start of each session should tap the pickleball at the top which clears all attendees.

Each attendee should then scroll through the list (it is alphabetical by first name) and click on their name to indicate that they are playing. This should add a green pickleball to their name. 

If you do NOT see your name on the list use the Add button to add it.

Specify the number of courts.

Once all of the attendees are confirmed, tap on the “Continue” button. Change to “4” courts (or the number of courts you are using for this session) and tap on “Continue”. 

Gameplay

A randomized lineup for your first game is shown, including spares.

Court 1 is the court closest to the glass/lounge. Court 4 is the court furthest from the glass/lounge

Second and subsequent games

When a game is complete, tap on the green ball to create the new lineup for the next game. Use the “Adjust” button if you need to adjust the players. 

When all games are completed, tap on the “Done” button, then the “I’m sure” button to return to the main screen.
