If there are any grades that may require change or discussion, students will know as soon as possible.

Cellphones:

§ Students will NOT be able to be on their cellphones at all during my class. If a cellphone is noticed and in use, the student shall receive a verbal warning. Once the warning has been given, if the student is seen using the cellphone again, it will be taken up by the teacher and will not be given back until the end of the day, or once they have served ONE detention during breakfast or after school. If the student does not show up for detention, this will result in an office referral.

Missing Assignments:

§ If a student has not turned in an assignment by the specified due date, the student will have to serve at least one detention during breakfast or after school depending on how many assignments are missing. If the student does not show up to the detention, this will result in an office referral. Students will be able to retake or redo any assignment that is failing or missing during this time. However, a student may not redo an assignment from a previous six weeks after a six weeks period has ended. The highest grade a student can receive on a retake or redo assignment is a 70, unless stated otherwise by the teacher.

Other Information on Assignments:

§ Students will be notified ahead of time on ALL tests and assignments through Google Classroom. Please go through Google Classroom on a daily basis to see any announcements. Students will receive plenty of study time and study aids to help them succeed in class and online.

§ Students will receive all Homework/Daily Grade assignments throughout the week, Monday-Friday, and will be due the following day the homework is assigned, or by that Friday depending on the assignment. If a paper/assignment is turned in after the due date, then the highest grade a student can make on the assignment is a 70.

§ If your student is absent, they will be allowed an extra day to complete their assignments. For example, if a student is absent any one day during a school week, then they will have until the following school day to complete the assignment. They are more than welcome to turn in ANY assignments early, and are encouraged to do so if possible!
