Welcome to Dyslexia!

My name is Amanda Norwood. I am excited to be entering my nineteenth year in education. After serving several years as a teacher, I pursued becoming a Dyslexia Therapist. I graduated from the Luke Waites Center for Dyslexia and Learning Disorders at the Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children. I am proud to say that City View ISD is committed to providing quality therapy, via the Take Flight program, developed by the Luke Waites Center for Dyslexia and Learning Disorders. I was honored to be accepted into this program; and I truly believe that I am still receiving the best information from the leaders in this field. You can find more information about the Take Flight program at http://www.tsrhc.org/dyslexia-take-flight .

I was born and raised in Wichita Falls, TX. I am happily married with a second grade daughter, sixth grade son, and a stepson who is pursuing his degree. Life is good!

I am looking forward to a very successful year! Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns regarding screenings, testing, or any other general dyslexia topics. I will be at the elementary campus most of the day, and the secondary campus the last two periods. You may reach me via email at anorwood@cityview-isd.net or submit the form at the bottom of this page.
