HEALTH + WELLNESS @ TCS
Here are a few reminders to support your student and the TCS community in health and wellness. As you are caring for your student at home, The City School remains committed to cleaning and disinfecting surfaces and high-traffic areas throughout the school day.
Please review the TCS COVID Protocols for 23-24
Masks remain optional, but are encouraged during cold and flu season to reduce transmission.
Stay home when sick. Please also continue to conduct a pre-screening with your student at home each morning before they arrive to school. Use this tool to conduct the screening.
Wash hands frequently. Hands should be washed several times a day, for no less than 20 seconds (singing the Happy Birthday song twice).
Clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces, especially when someone is sick.
Cover your mouth/nose with a tissue when you cough, then throw the tissue away. Cough into your elbows, if necessary.
Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.
Be prepared at home with over-the-counter medications to reduce fever and pain.
Get plenty of sleep, be physically active, manage your stress, drink plenty of fluids, and eat nutritious food.
Pray. While there are practical steps we must take, we also know that God is in control. Let us continue to thank him for his faithfulness, as we continue to depend upon him for guidance and wisdom.

LUNCH PROGRAM IS OPEN!
The new lunch program portal is open for ordering. Please place orders by 9 am the day prior to when you would like your student to have lunch (ex: to receive lunch on Tuesday, orders must be placed by 9 am Monday).

Step 2: View the tutorial video
Step 3: click on “Create New Account”
Step 4: Once you have successfully created an account you are
ready to set up one or more Child accounts that you want to place orders for.
(You will need to use the school code for your campus. School codes are: cs-SPRUCEHILL, cs-FAIRMOUNT, or cs-POPLAR)
Step 5: Be sure to enter your student’s details including their campus/school and grade.
Step 6: Enter your payment information and begin to place orders

TCS UNIFORM POLICIES
GRADES PK-5
Come to school ready to learn in your official TCS Uniform. Full details below.
GRADES 6-8
Students in grades 6-8 will be ready to engage and learn in their official TCS Uniform. Learn more below.
GRADES 9-12
Students in grades 9-12 prepare to be a distinctive upper school student with an offical school blazer. More details below.
MORE INFORMATION ABOUT THE UNIFORM UPDATES
We heard you! In an effort to better align our uniform program and ease the uniform transitions while a Poplar Campus student, we have further aligned our uniforms. We have also added additional options that may be more affordable for your budget across all grade levels, including the opportunity for TCS students to wear TCS Gear as their gym uniform!
So what does it all mean?
Entering Grades PK-5: Nothing has changed, except you can participate in the additional affordable options and purchase TCS Gear as your gym uniform. You are good to go!
Entering Grade 6: Your transition to the upper school has begun with an updated version of the uniform! Please take a look at the uniform guide above for details.
Entering Grades 7-8: Are you still able to fit your uniform from last year? Feel free to wear it until you grow out of it and then replace it with items provided in the uniform guide.
Entering Grade 9-12: Prepare to wear a blazer as a distinctive upper school student.

Mr. Gaines spoke at the Center for the Advancement of Christian Education (CACE) Conference in Washington, DC and shared how God is bringing shalom and light to the city through The City School! He reminded us that “WHO you learn with matters” and “handling difficult conversations well breeds intimacy and unity!
