2040 Comprehensive Plan

The City of Macclenny 2040 Comprehensive Plan has been developed and amended pursuant to the requirements of Chapter 163, Florida Statutes (F.S.), the "Local Government Comprehensive Planning and Land Development Regulation Act," and the requirements of Rule 9J-5, Florida Administrative Code (F.A.C.).

The 2025 Comprehensive Plan contains ten different elements (labeled under Contents, 1.0 through 11.0) each containing a set of Goals, Objectives, and Policies (GOPs) that have been developed in response to and in accordance with the needs and directions of growth and determined levels of service requirements.

State and regional agencies have completed their review of the proposed 2040 Comprehensive Plan. The Florida Department of Community Affairs issued their Objections, Recommendations and Comments Report on Feb. 17, 2020. The DCA raised no objections to the proposed amendments, but offered several suggestions for minor edits to them. The City Commission passed the first reading of Ordinance 20-07 adopting the 2040 Comprehensive Plan on July 14, 2020 and then the final reading and adoption of the Ordinance on August 11, 2020.
