Socrative is a great alternative to Kahoot for longer questions and answers. It can be assigned for homework or done as a class. There is also a class competition format that allows kids to "race" to get the highest score. Socrative also has a great "quick question" option which allows you to pose a question to the class on the fly and have them answer through their device. This allows everyone to answer anonymously so you can gauge the whole class quickly without having a prepared quiz loaded onto the website.
