Scholarship Awards

Seniors that are pursuing a degree may apply for various scholarships that will award them with a personal check or send the award directly to the college they are attending.

Tool Awards

Tool awards are available to seniors that are entering the workforce and may need to purchase tools in order to start out in their chosen profession. These awards may be given in the form of a personal check or a gift card.

Monetary Awards

Monetary awards are available to students regardless of their future plans. They are given as a personal check or cash.

SCHOLARSHIP AWARDS

  • This scholarship is eligible to BANGOR students attending college. Applicants must submit application with four attachments, including an essay and a teacher recommendation. Applications are due by MAY 1, 2020.

  • This scholarship is eligible to BANGOR students attending college. Applicants must include a CIT letter of recommendation and must write two essays. Applications are due by MAY 1, 2020.
  • The CIT Foundation provides multiple awards to students based on grades, attendance, and service to CIT. Students must provide copies of report cards, college acceptance letter, and a resume. Applications are due MAY 1, 2020.
  • The Frederick R. Curcio Scholarship is awarded to a student that is registered at Lincoln Technical Institute OR majoring in Computer Science at another college or post-secondary institution. Student must attend Bangor, Pen Argyl, or Faith Christian. MAY 1, 2020.

Hi-Winder's Club Award

  • The Hi-Winder's Car Club provides a scholarship to a Bangor, Pen Argyl or Nazareth (new) student in Automotive Technology or Automotive Collision that is continuing their education in the automotive field. Student must provide proof of college acceptance and the scholarship award will be sent to the college. This award is chosen by a panel based on a teacher nomination. Students who are interested and eligible should speak with their teacher.
  • The Kiwanis Club of Easton is awarding a $1500 scholarship to a CIT graduating senior for post-high school educational expenses. Student must attend Wilson, Easton, or Notre Dame and be attending a 2 or 4 year college or post-high school training institution. Student must have maintained a B or higher overall scholastic average. Applications are due by March 30, 2020. Winning student must agree to send transcript after completion of the first semester. Upon receipt, a check will be sent to the student.
  • Kiwanis of Palmer is awarding a $1000 scholarship to a CIT graduating senior for post-high school educational expenses. Student must attend Wilson, Easton, or Notre Dame and be attending a 2 or 4 year college or post-high school training institution and must provide proof of acceptance. Applications are due by MAY 1, 2020.

  • The Robert A. Reese Memorial Scholarship Award is given to a CIT graduating senior for post-high school educational or training expense. Applications are due by MAY 1, 2020.
  • Slate Belt Chamber of Commerce is awarding a scholarship to a CIT graduating senior for post-high school educational expenses. Student must attend Bangor, Pen Argyl, or Faith Christian and be attending a 2 or 4 year college or post-high school training institution and must provide proof of acceptance. Applicants must demonstrate academic excellence, community involvement and leadership. Due by MAY 1, 2020.

  • The Slate Belt Rising Scholarship Program is awarding a scholarship to a CIT graduating student for post-high school educational expenses. The student must attend Bangor, Pen Argyl, or Faith Christian Academy and must be accepted at a four-year university/college, community college, technical school. Applicants must demonstrate academic excellence, volunteer experience, and be involved in extracurricular activities. Applicants must complete an essay along with their application. Due by MAY 1, 2020.

TOOL AWARDS

Dorando Perini Memorial Tool Award

  • Dorry Perini was a former Mason instructor and a proctor of our NOCTI exam. This teacher nominated award will be given to a graduating senior in the Masonry program.
  • Kiwanis of Palmer is awarding a $1000 scholarship to a CIT graduating senior for post-high school tool/supply expenses. Student must attend Wilson, Easton, or Notre Dame. Applications are due by MAY 1, 2020.

Mark Warner Memorial Award

  • This award will be given to a teacher nominated student in the Automotive Technology program. Interested and eligible students should speak with their teacher about being nominated. Nominations are due by MAY 1, 2020.

  • The Slate Belt Rising Scholarship Program is awarding a scholarship to a CIT graduating student for post-high school educational expenses. The student must attend Bangor, Pen Argyl, or Faith Christian Academy and be entering the workforce. Applicants must demonstrate academic excellence, volunteer experience, and be involved in extracurricular activities. Applicants must complete an essay along with their application. Due MAY 1, 2020.

Monetary AWARDS

Don Marsh Award

  • This teacher nominated award is open to all students with an IEP. Interested and eligible students may speak with their teacher about being nominated. Nominations are due by MAY 1, 2020.

Easton Area Schoolmen's Association

  • The Easton Area Schoolmen's Association will award one student $250. The student must be graduating from Easton Area High School. This award is based on a teacher nomination. Students who are interested and eligible may speak with their teacher about being nominated.

Gates Enterprise Awards

  • The Gates Enterprise Awards is for active SkillsUSA members. Five students from CIT will be chosen based on teacher nominations and an online application. To be considered for a nomination, interested and eligible students should speak with their teacher about being nominated.

William Foltz Memorial Award

  • The William Foltz Memorial Award is CIT's most prestigious award. One student will be chosen to receive $2000. Students from any home school and any program are eligible to be nominated for consideration by their teacher. Students must demonstrate career and technical excellence, articulated communication skills, and must have enhanced CIT through his or her contributions while enrolled as a student. Nominees will be required to apply and complete an interview for final consideration based on the selection committee criteria. Teacher nominations are due by MAY 1, 2020.

Nazareth Women's Club

  • This $100 teacher nominated award will be given to a deserving Nazareth student. Interested and eligible students should speak with their teacher about being nominated. Teacher nominations are due by MAY 1, 2020.
  • The Northampton County Chapter of the Pennsylvania Association of School Retirees will award $250 to one student. Due date to be announced. Due MAY 1, 2020.

We believe in you award

  • This award is given to a student with an IEP that has made the most of their given talents and abilities. This is a teacher nominated award driven by the ESP Association. Teacher nominations are due by MAY 1, 2020.
