CIT was awarded a $25,000 Safe School Equipment Grant!!!! The announcement was released on Friday, 10/25/19 and only 3 schools in Northampton County were listed as grant awardees.

The CIT Physical Education Class was awarded the Blue Cross Grant in the amount of $2,500 to install permanent outdoor basketball hoops for students to play full-court basketball and improve their cardiovascular health.

Easton Chrin Foundation awarded CIT $8,000 to purchase a 3D printer for electronics to start adding robotics and mechatronics. The Foundation continues to support CIT with purchases of equipment needed related to the integration of STEM.

DECA and HOSA students are preparing for an upcoming fundraiser – Gift Card Bingo on November 23rd at the Paler Township Fire Company at 1pm. Students and club advisors are working hard to prepare the bingo and gather gift cards for prizes from the community to support our clubs.

Various facilities projects are taking place with CIT programs such as HVAC assisting with hand sink in Culinary, HVAC assisting with plumbing installation for coffee Café and BPM is assisting with pavers at flagpole. This is a great way for programs to get involved in live projects around the school.

Last week, Officer Reeder and Van Norman attended ALICE training to become certified trainers. We will begin planning the next phase of ALICE training including continued scenario drills.

A committee of staff representing several departments at CIT has been selected to demo two SIS options and gather input. We will provide the admin committee and the board with a recommendation once we gather input, finalize pricing and a transition timeline. Stay tuned for more details on this soon...

The CIT Coffee Café is underway. All equipment purchased from the Perkins grant has arrived and is almost setup. CIT programs have been assisting with some of the installation (HVAC assisted with the plumbing and waterlines, BPM has helped with some installation as well).
