Health Related Technology Blood Drive
CIT hosted the 2nd blood drive of the year on Wednesday, November 20th. We had a total of 50 students registered to donate, 8 staff members and 12 students volunteered from 6 AM and 6 PM. The blood drive is our 2nd of 5 scheduled this year. Our drives are organized and run by our Blood Drive Captain, Samirra Elminawi, Easton 12th grader. Although all HRT students are active in the blood drives, Samirra schedules the volunteers, communicates with the blood center, schedules all the donors, makes sure that each student has the proper paperwork and maintains order in the hallway during the drive. It truly is a team effort...she will begin training the “next generation” blood drive captain at the next drive.

The trusses were set, students installed fly rafters for the overhang, sheathing gable on the ends of the house and they started to plywood the roof. They are making excellent progress to button up the house before winter weather hits.

The Masonry & Building and Property Maintenance programs fabricated and installed the new base cabinets and concrete countertop in the school store. Welding and Machine Tool Technology fabricated the CIT letters on the front of the cabinets. The school store opened for business this week!
