Day 1 – Babbage Lecture Theatre

All participants will attend a full day of talks and lectures within the Babbage lecture theatre on Day 1. When you arrive, please make your way up the stairs past the Zoology Museum (noticeable by the large whale skeleton hanging from ceiling to your right), and follow the walkway all the way down until you reach our registration helpers. Please make sure to have your e-ticket ready on your smart phone, there is no need to print it.

Day 2 – Babbage Lecture Theatre & The David Attenborough Building

On Day 2, you will have the option to choose which sessions you would like to attend at various times throughout the day, and in different locations between the Babbage lecture theatre and the David Attenborough Building. All delegates will have to sign up to talks and workshops during day 2, and these activities will be held in different rooms throughout both of these sites. We will provide further maps and details of how to find the rooms for each of your sessions but please rest assured that the David Attenborough building is adjacent to the Babbage, so there is full capacity to move between talks and workshops throughout the day with enough time in between.

Booking your Talks & Workshops

The conference is using an online programme called Sched for the official event schedule and directory. You can download the ‘Sched’ app to manage your summit schedule easily and keep up to date with the latest news and session updates on the go.

Sched is also how you will be able to manage your profile and interact with one another. We will send details to you of how to sign-up soon. Whilst Shed can be downloaded as an app for ease, it can also be used online as a website.

Sched further allows you to:

All talks will be approximately 30mins in length, whilst workshops will vary accordingly, and all participants must sign up to the talks and sessions they wish to attend on day 2, prior to the start of the conference by the 5th of January at the very latest.

Please note that many talks and workshops will have limited spaces depending on the size of each room, so we encourage everyone to sign up to Shed, and select what you would like to attend well before this deadline to avoid disappointment, as attendance to each session will be on a first come first served basis. We will send out further information soon about this process.
