The video to the left demonstrates the ubiquity of the chord pattern Ⅰ-Ⅴ-ⅵ-Ⅳ thoughout popular music over the last 50 or so years.
The video is in the key of D major, so the chords are D - A - Bm - G. On the ukulele, though, we have been learning to play mostly in the key of C, where the chords are C - G7 - Am - F.
In order to play along to the video, you will need to add an extension to your internet browser that allows you to transpose the music down two semitones.
Much like the video above, the video to the right demonstrates the ubituity of another important chord pattern, Ⅰ-ⅵ-Ⅳ-Ⅴ (these are the same four chords, but in a different order). This pattern is not as common today as it once was, but is still used occasionally, and was extremely common in the 1950s (and to a lesser degree, the 1960s), and is sometimes called the Doo-Wop progression.
This video is in the key of C major, so we can play along without needing a transposition extension. The chords are C - Am - F - G7.
