Hike in North Seoul and get views of the city and some fresh air at Buhansan National park.

While only around 1/3 of this palace has been restored, it has beautiful walkways and it close to the Seoul Museum of History.
This palace has been meticulously restored and was the first rebuilt after Japanese invasion in the 1500s. It is a UNESCO world heritage site and has a famous secret garden inside!
A palace mainly for secondary royal residences, it was destroyed many times by the Japanese. During the Japanese colonial period, the palace was turned into a zoo and botanical gardens. The gardens still remain at this palace.
The main royal palace of the Joseon dynasty and one of the most iconic historical sites in Seoul!

Designed by Zaha Hadid, DDP is one of the most iconic modern buildings in Seoul. Go for a stroll, to visit an exhibition, or for shopping inside or in one of the malls outside the building.
Stroll along this stone path by the palaces and feel the history of the Joseon dynasty. Don't be surprised if you see many couples here- it is now a famous date spot!
Deoksugung Palace is the smallest of Seoul’s palaces. The name Deoksugung Palace means “Palace of virtue and longevity” in the spirit of praying for long life for Emperor Gojong.
A former courthouse since 1895, it hosted the Supreme Court after the forced Japanese occupation of Korea. Now, it is a beautiful art museum in a historic building.
A contemporary art museum with rotating exhibitions and a permanent exhibition of Korean art. Beautiful location in Itaewon!
Located in the former military headquarters, it is a full museum on Korea's military history and the Korean War.
You can see N Seoul Tower everywhere in North Seoul, so you have to go up once, right?
Learn about Korea past and present and get a beautiful view of Namsan tower at this amazing museum. BTS also performed here (find the place markers on the floor of the museum!)
Formerly a restricted oil tank area, now these tanks have been turned into cultural spaces with gardens and green spaces.
A former prison during Japanese occurpation where Korean independence movement activists were imprisoned. Learn about the history of the Korean independance movement and their fight for freedom here.

A quieter neighborhood by Hongdae, it has it's own personality. Up and coming neighborhood, also by Mangwon market.
Walk through Yeonnam-dong the Forest Park (oftencalled Yeontral park by locals). This is the quieter side of Hongdae :)
Go shopping and catch some street performances in one of the most famous neighborhoods in Seoul.

Affordable shopping heaven-- this underground shopping malls stretches across multiple subway stations and sells comsetics, phone accesories, and lots of clothes.
One to two hour hike to one of the best peaks in Seoul! The top features a buddhist temple and great views over the south part of the city.
