I have a double major BA in painting and psychology. Apart from painting, I have some knowledge and skills in printmaking, sculpture and graphic design. In psychology, my strongest interest lies in social psychology and cross-cultural psychology, especially how language and culture factors influence human behavior.

I have an MA in teaching Chinese as an international language, and my greatest interest in in contrastive analysis of Chinese and English languages and cultures.

I grew up in Harbin, and came to Singapore in my late teen, attended local school in Singapore for four years before going to college in the US. I'm now a Singapore citizen. Through my previous jobs in Singapore, I've kept contacts in different industries locally, e.g. the arts, design companies, non-profit organizations, media/film company my husband works at, etc.
