About the CIS Human Library
The Human Library is a concept born in Denmark in 2000 and is now organised all over the world. In a “Human Library”, people are on "loan" to share their stories, experiences and expertise. Through the CIS human library project, we hope to connect skills, passions and expertise to student learning by developing a database of people students can access and "loan" during certain units of studies and/or projects. These "loans" work in collaboration with classroom teachers and students in a variety of ways, such as guest speakers, project mentors, experts in residence or workshop leaders.
