I am an author, educator, and Expedition leader with 20+ years of experience in Southeast Asia. I have been a Middle School Classroom Science Teacher and Service Learning Project Leader in Malaysia, Thailand, and Indonesia since moving overseas from the USA.

I am the co-author of As if the Earth Matters (out of print) which was a recommended resource from the National Science Teachers Association in 2005. I’ve also written an illustrated children's book entitled The Box People and have been a visiting author at United World College Southeast Asia in Singapore, The International School of Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia, Bali Island School in Indonesia, Pasir Ridge International School in Kalimantan, Wells International School Bangkok and the Canadian International School in Singapore.

As part of my personal service projects I’ve ridden a bamboo bicycle across Southeast Asia and circumnavigated Phuket in a kayak to focus on conservation in the region and raise awareness for conservation in the region.
