I'm a writer and illustrator of 4 science history books (a fifth is currently in progress), all published by Random House, on epidemics, disasters, the connections Islamic civilization and the West, change in the oceanic environment and the promise and problem of inventions

I also speak fluent Malay and have a connection to a practicing Malay shaman in Johor Bahru.
