I was inspired to start working on social justice issues while travelling in South East Asia and India in 2000 and seeing poverty first hand.
I studied undergraduate and MSc in international development and have worked and volunteered for international NGOs for the past 15 years, in various countries including Colombia, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Sierra Leone, Mozambique, Tajikistan, Bangladesh, Philippines and Myanmar.
I work on projects which address the socio-economic and political drivers of poverty as well as structural inequality and human rights. I have worked with small community organisations and national organisations as well as policy makers and public sector, through to United Nations agencies, European Union Development Assistance and large donor organisations to bring about change in social policies and development assistance.
More recently I am developing my work on how technology can help to address issues of poverty and inequality.
