Cebu International School Presents
Professional Learning Weekend with Lance King
November 9-10, 2019
ATL Skills Program Design and Implementation
Lance King is an internationally recognized specialist in the teaching of 21st century skills. He was the principal designer of the Approaches to Learning (ATL) framework for the International Baccalaureate (IB) Middle Years Programme (MYP) and Diploma Programme (DP), currently being implemented in 4000 IB schools in 150 countries. Since 2012, Lance has been delivering workshops in the design and implementation of 21st century skill-based programmes in over 300 schools (both IB and non-IB ) in 34 countries.
The professional development programme that Lance King will offer at Cebu International School evolved from this large body of practical experiences. Delivered over two full days, it will cover nine key topics designed to give all participants the experiences they need to put in place a fully functioning ATL skills programme at their schools (or 21st century skills programme if they are not an IB school). All topics will be delivered in a hands-on workshop style, full of activities for participants, and are designed to give schools clear practical strategies for designing, mapping, vertical and horizontal articulating, implementing, administrating, assessing and teaching ATL skills.
