The IB arts curriculum through its Programmes, PYP, MYP, and DP, encourage students to develop skills through creating, performing and presenting arts in methods that engage and communicate feelings, experiences and ideas. Through this practice students acquire, learn, refine and master the skills necessary to develop learning.

The Arts Week at CIS, celebrated annually in the early part of May, provides students the opportunity to showcase how they have functioned as artists, as well as learners of the arts. Ideally, during this entire week, artworks, performances, and activities are displayed and promoted all over the school featuring student artwork, art activities, performances from band and drama classes, expert talks, and concerts by visiting musicians and our very own CIS band.
