Science Camp

Ages 8-12

Do you want to make color changing potions? Build robots from scratch and program them to pick up things for you? Bring stories to life using playdoh to make your own animation? Science camp is gonna be all that and more!

What happens at Science Camp?

Every day is going to be divided in two parts: coding and animation in the morning and science experiments in the afternoon. We're going to learn all about robots and coding and make our own stop motion movies using various techniques. Then, we're going to experiment with different materials in the playground or in the kitchen. Sometimes our experiments will be edible too! Get ready for some hands-on fun this summer!

“We usually have activities pre-planned, but sometimes we like to be spontaneous, especially if the kids have a strong desire to do a certain activity. This is summer camp, after all, it’s about having fun! “ — Sarai, last year’s Camp Leader

Meet the Camp Leader, Katerina Stourna

I am an art teacher and illustrator from Greece. Science and experiments fascinate me and I am always trying to sneak some messy fun in my lessons. I'm excited to spend some days of doing just that! It's my second year living in Denmark and working in CIS as a substitute teacher and also teaching the STEAM club and printing studio. Besides teaching, art and science, I love cooking, gardening, museums and my cat Luna.
