Concert Uniform Expectations
Singers must arrive at the concert venue clean, well-groomed, and performance-ready.
Excessive makeup or distracting hair accessories (e.g., large bows) are not permitted.
Hair accessories such as bands or clips should be minimal and match the natural hair color.
If choosing to dye hair, please opt for natural shades or styles that do not draw attention away from the ensemble.
Jewelry should not be worn during performances. Small earring studs are the only exception; all other earrings and accessories are not allowed.
Perfume is prohibited. Please wear deodorant.
Bel Canto uniform items such as ties or scarves must be returned following each performance. Families will be billed $10.00 for any missing items.
Singers who are not in full, appropriate concert attire may not be permitted to perform.
CYC tenure pins are awarded annually at the final concert to honor each singer’s continued dedication to the program. These pins are considered part of the formal concert uniform and should be worn with pride whenever singers are in official attire. Pins must be placed on the front left shoulder of the shirt and should never be attached to the scarf or tie. Contact us if you were absent from the concert and did not receive your pin.

CYC Grey Polo Shirt - each choir member will need to purchase a grey polo shirt - CLICK HERE TO PURCHASE
Black dress pants or skirt - NO LEGGINGS
Black dress shoes or ballet flats
If socks are needed, they must be black
CYC Rainbow Tie-Dye Shirt
CYC Rainbow Tie-Dye Shirt
The CYC tie-dye shirt is considered an additional informal uniform. This shirt is required for Bel Canto, Con Brio, and Voci (but can be purchased by Vivace and Piccolo Coro as optional).
To purchase tie-dye t-shirt:
Send $25 (cash or check) into rehearsal in an envelope with the singer's name and t-shirt size marked that it is for a tie-dye t-shirt.

Used Uniforms
This fall, CYC's Parent Association will conduct a used uniform sale. Used uniform items will be available on a first-come basis. Items not available must be purchased directly from the suppliers. Gently used uniform items may be donated to the Parent Association and dropped off at the CYC Office during regular rehearsal times or at the Preparatory Department office during regular business hours. We accept these items year-round.
